Take the scenic route

The Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park is just outside the Stanardsville area, making Skyline Drive an easy addition to the weekend. September 18 is typically a little before peak fall foliage, but the mountain views are beautiful in every season.

Skyline Drive stretches 105 miles through Shenandoah National Park. You don’t need to drive the whole thing—a few overlooks can make for an easy morning or afternoon outing.

Dress Code

Black Tie

We’re planning a formal, candlelit evening. Tuxedos or formal dark suits and floor-length or elevated formal gowns are appropriate. Because parts of the property may be outdoors, keep the September mountain setting in mind when choosing shoes and a wrap or jacket.
